AnubisNetworks played an active role in the Multi-national takedown operation against GameOver Zeus botnet.
This operation was lead by UK's National Crime Agency (NCA) and the FBI, and connected several Government and Private Threat Intelligence organizations in a international scale takedown operation.
AnubisNetworks' Security Research Unit worked in close collaboration with the NCA during the last month, in an attempt to track and profile the Command and Control (C2) centers in charge of ordering this infection.
This operation successfully contained the massive infection caused by a ZeusG (GameOver Zeus) Botnet - between 500,000 and one million computers infected worldwide - which aimed at propagating Cryptolocker ransomware. According to the FBI, This Botnet was responsible for more than $100 million in losses.
